Lovely Home Podcast | Christian Girl Glow-Up, Soft Life & Feminine Habits, Modern Homemaking, Routines & Rhythms for Christian Newlywed Wives
Hey Lovely!
Welcome to The Lovely Home Podcast with Evelyn Hall, where we romanticize everyday life through a Christ-centered lens and lovely eyes.
This podcast is for Christian wives who desire a soft, peaceful, and intentional life—one built on rhythms instead of rigid routines. Here, we blend faith-based habits, feminine routines, soft living, and modern homemaking to help you care for your mind, body, and home in a way that actually feels sustainable.
Each episode is designed to help you renew your mindset, simplify your routines, and create a peaceful home through biblical truth, practical habits, and grace-filled living. We talk about identity in Christ, building habits that align with your life, and creating rhythms that support your unique season—without guilt, pressure, or perfection.
You don’t need to become someone else to glow up.
You just need to come home to who God created you to be and rest in His grace.
If you’re ready to live with intention, embrace soft discipline, and build a life that feels both beautiful and rooted in Christ… you’re in the right place.
If you're ready to drop the home guilt and feel more grace... you're in the right place.
If you're ready to 100% believe that you are lovely and so is your home... You're in the right place.
So grab your iced coffee or lemonade, your Lovely Home Planner or notebook, and let's change our lives together.

Planning your wedding registry? Or maybe you're setting up your first home, creating a housewarming registry, or simply trying to figure out what you actually need for your home?
In this episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, we're talking about the things that are actually worth putting on your registry—and the things you can confidently leave behind.
I'm sharing 12 things I highly recommend putting on your wedding or housewarming registry, based on my own experience as a newlywed and homemaker. Then we're flipping the list around with 12 things I think you can skip.
🛍️ 12 Things You NEED on Your Registry
1. Quality BeddingGood sheets, duvet covers, comforters, and pillows are worth investing in because they're things you'll use constantly.
2. Quality Pots & PansTake advantage of your registry to get a quality set of pots and pans that will serve you for years.
3. Quality TowelsSkip the cheap towels that fray and get rough. Invest in towels you'll actually enjoy using.
4. Serving Trays & BowlsBeautiful and practical serving pieces are perfect for hosting family and friends in your home.
5. A Good VacuumEspecially if you have pets, a quality vacuum can make keeping your home clean so much easier.
6. Glass Food Storage ContainersA variety of sizes is incredibly useful for meal prep, leftovers, and storing food.
7. Something for a Hobby You & Your Spouse Can Do TogetherThink camping supplies, pickleball paddles, board games, or anything that helps you enjoy time together.
8. One Quality Appliance You Really WantMy personal recommendation? A Ninja Bullet-style blender with single-serving cups. We use ours constantly for smoothies and protein shakes.
9. Bulk Cleaning SuppliesThings like Swiffer pads, mop pads, and dusting supplies can be surprisingly wonderful registry gifts because you'll actually use them.
10. Gift CardsRestaurant, grocery store, gas, Amazon, and home store gift cards can be incredibly helpful as you begin married life and establish your home.
11. Something Lovely for YOU & Something Lovely for Your SpousePut something on the registry that simply makes each of you happy. For me, that was an espresso machine. For my husband, it was a board game.
12. Quality Kitchen UtensilsLook for utensils you'll use constantly, such as stainless steel, wood, or silicone options.
🚫 12 Things You Can SKIP
Then I share 12 things I personally don't think you need to prioritize on your registry:
• A huge collection of wine glasses or specialty drinkware• Every kitchen appliance under the sun• China and fancy hosting materials• An expensive knife set• A matching four-pack of coffee mugs• Organizational bins before you know your space• An iron and ironing board• Single-purpose kitchen gadgets• Things you're only registering for because you think you're "supposed" to have them• Furniture you haven't thoughtfully planned for your home• Anything you're buying because you're comparing your registry to someone else's• A fancy rotating or drawer spice organization system before you know your kitchen
The biggest takeaway? Your registry should serve the life you actually live—not the imaginary life the internet tells you that you should have.
You don't need the biggest, fanciest, or most complete registry. You don't need everything that appears on a traditional wedding registry checklist. You need things that will bless you, your spouse, your home, and your current season of life.
And most importantly, don't let this list make you feel discontent with the things you already have. Your home is still lovely. Your things are still gifts. These are simply my opinions based on my own experience—and what wasn't necessarily necessary when I first got married. 🤍
🍳 BONUS: COOKBOOKS
One more fun thing I recommend putting on your registry: cookbooks!
Cookbooks can be such a lovely way to build your kitchen and grow in confidence as you learn to cook and care for your home.

Welcome to today's Midday Motivation—a short Christian pep talk for the moments when you've hit a wall and everything in you wants to quit.
Maybe you're staring at a sink full of dishes, avoiding that workout, procrastinating on a project, or simply feeling discouraged halfway through the day. Whatever the hard thing is, this episode is here to remind you of one simple truth:
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Together we'll remember who we are in Christ, why our work matters, and what Scripture says about diligence, perseverance, and faithfully stewarding the life God has given us. We'll also walk through a simple mindset exercise to make difficult tasks feel more manageable and help you move forward with purpose instead of paralysis.
If you've been waiting for motivation to finally get started, this is your reminder that your identity isn't found in your feelings—it's found in Jesus.
So take a deep breath, remember your "why," and let's go do the hard thing together.
Because you are lovely, and so is your home.

Have you ever reached a season where your old rhythms don’t seem to fit anymore?
Your marriage is changing. Your home feels different. Your plans aren’t unfolding the way you expected. Something that once felt easy suddenly feels uncomfortable—and you find yourself wondering, God, what are You doing?
In this episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, we’re going to the potter’s house in Jeremiah 18 to take a deeper look at one of Scripture’s most beautiful pictures of God’s sovereignty: He is the Potter, and we are the clay.
We’ll explore the actual science of pottery—from centering and pressure to drying and firing—and what it can teach us about change, waiting, growth, and surrender. We’ll also look at the science of why our brains resist unfamiliar seasons and why “new” can sometimes feel like “wrong.”
Most importantly, we’ll talk about what Scripture actually promises when life feels uncomfortable. Because discomfort isn’t always confirmation that God is preparing some exciting new chapter—but it also isn’t evidence that He has lost control.
The clay in Jeremiah 18 became marred while it was still in the Potter’s hands.
So if you’re a newlywed wife navigating changing rhythms, unmet expectations, growing pains in marriage, waiting, or simply becoming a version of yourself you’ve never been before, this episode is an invitation to loosen your grip.
You don’t have to understand the shape He is making to trust the hands of the Potter.
More grace. Less guilt. One lovely rhythm at a time. 🤍
Scriptures referenced: Jeremiah 18:1–6, Isaiah 64:8, Isaiah 45:9, Romans 12:2, James 1:2–4, Psalm 27:14

Plus, we’ll talk about simple rhythms you can use to keep the clutter from creeping back in as your schedule and season change.
So grab a laundry basket, turn on this episode, and reset your home right alongside me. No perfection required—just one step at a time, with more grace and less guilt. 🌷
