Hey lovely 🤍 Welcome back to the Lovely Home Podcast! I’m your host, Evelyn, and around here we focus on grace over guilt in your mind, life, and home — with Christ as our foundation.
In today’s episode, I’m sharing my personal meal planning system — the one that helps me consistently meal plan and prep meals (including breakfast!) without spiraling into pressure. This is a hybrid method using recipe cards + Pinterest, and it’s designed to be simple, fast, and sustainable.
We’re talking:
How to choose your “core” 10–15 go-to recipes
How to organize them into categories (dinner, breakfast, lunch, snacks)
How to use cookbooks without flipping forever
And my favorite hack: writing a recipe link on the back of a card so you can scan it with your phone and jump straight to the recipe (no endless Pinterest scrolling!)
If you want to give this method a try, here’s what you’ll need: note cards, a pen, a recipe box (optional), a Pinterest account, your phone, and your cookbooks.
If you want help building rhythms that work for your body, your mind, your menstrual phase, and your love language, you can book a Lovely Rhythms Call right here: https://allthingslovely.co
And if you’re ready to grab your Lovely Home Planner, stickers, or anything else in the shop, you can visit: https://allthingslovely.co✨ Use code LOVELY25 for 25% off anything in the shop.

Hey lovely 🤍 In today’s episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, I’m joined by a very special guest: Kate Sheets, the owner and founder of Selah Publications—a faith-based paper goods brand creating the most beautiful planners, journals, devotionals, and quiet-time companions for women who want to spend intentional time with the Lord.
This conversation is for the Christian woman who feels like her quiet time “has” to look a certain way—a perfect morning routine, a candle, a set schedule, uninterrupted silence… and then the guilt hits when real life doesn’t cooperate. Kate and I talk about how to release that pressure and instead build grace-filled rhythms that invite God into your whole day—whether you’re a mom with littles, in a busy season, or simply feeling overwhelmed by hustle culture.
We discuss:
Why beauty matters to women (and why it’s not vanity)
How faith-based journals can feel like a “date with Jesus” (so you actually want to pick them up)
A guilt-free approach to quiet time rhythms, including the SOAP Bible Study Method
How to practice intentionality instead of hustle
What to do when you feel lost, overwhelmed, spiraling, or out of control
The powerful question: “What is my unmet desire?”
The spiritual and practical encouragement of “Selah”—pausing with God and finding peace in the waiting
If you’ve been craving rest, clarity, Christian encouragement, a slow-living mindset, and practical ways to stay close to Jesus throughout the day, this episode is for you.
And hey—Kate is also offering you a discount code so you can try Selah for yourself 🤍

Hey Lovely,
If you’ve ever tried to “get on a routine” only to feel discouraged the moment you miss a step… this episode is for you. In today’s conversation on the Lovely Home Podcast, Evelyn breaks down rhythms vs. routines—why they aren’t the same, and why so many women feel burnt out, overwhelmed, and guilty while genuinely trying their best.
We’ll blend science, structure, Scripture, and practical homemaking help in a way that feels clarifying (not heavy). You’ll learn why many popular habit systems were designed with a more linear, “box-based” approach—and why a woman’s brain often operates more like a connected thread. Then we’ll build a simpler, sustainable alternative: pillars—broad categories that guide your day without demanding perfection.
Inside this episode, you’ll learn:
The difference between a fixed routine and a flexible rhythm
Why “missing one step” can trigger guilt—and how to break that cycle
How to create your own rhythm using 3 simple pillars (and expand later)
Evelyn’s morning rhythm pillars: Something Lovely, Helpful, Active, Body, Holy
A brain-based look at habits: prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hippocampus
Biblical encouragement for discipline without shame (including Isaiah 41:10, Hebrews 12:11, Romans 12:2)
A special encouragement for newlywed brides and seasoned wives: you don’t have to prove perfection—you can rest in grace
If you’re ready to build a home life that feels supportive instead of suffocating, press play—and grab your planner, a journal, a pen, and something cozy to sip.
Want help creating rhythms that fit your season of life, your cycle, your love languages, and your marriage? Book a 1:1 Lovely Rhythms Call (no pressure, only support).

Hey lovely 🤍 it’s Evelyn — and we are starting this month with a brain reset + a home reset.
If January felt slow-but-fast (how?!), you’re not alone. So before we rush into everything February holds, we’re taking a deep breath, reminding our nervous system we’re safe, and choosing grace over guilt as we care for our homes.
In this clean with me, we’ll tackle the kitchen + the bedroom (your sanctuary) using my favorite “left-to-right” method, plus a simple way to make cleaning feel lovely: using all five senses—scent, taste, sight, sound, and touch—as a form of worship and gratitude.
✨ Grab your drink, turn on a candle or diffuser, and let’s make your home feel peaceful again—one small rhythm at a time.
Tell me in the comments: which space are you cleaning with me today—kitchen or bedroom? 🫶

Hey Lovely,
What if your home had a place of peace—a space designed not for productivity, but for rest, renewal, and remembering who God created you to be?
In today’s episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, we’re talking about how to intentionally create a place of peace within your home—a retreat where you can pause, breathe, and pour back into your identity in Christ before the roles, responsibilities, and noise of the world.
I’m walking you through my PEACE framework—Personal, Empowering, Addictive, Comfortable, and Effective—to help you discover where your body naturally gravitates, how to make that space truly yours, and how to use it as a rhythm of rest, Sabbath, and worship. We’ll talk about why every Christian homemaker needs a place of peace, how it supports your mental health and spiritual life, and how it helps you live with grace over guilt in your mind, life, and home.
This episode is for the woman who feels overwhelmed, stretched thin, or disconnected from herself—and is ready to come back home to peace, purpose, and God’s design for her life.
✨ In this episode, you’ll learn:
What a “place of peace” really is (and what it’s not)
How to identify your own place of peace in your current season
How to use your home as a tool for rest, Sabbath, and renewal
Why your uniqueness is intentional and God-designed
How to create a “lovely bank” that helps you pour into yourself with intention

Hey Lovely,
This is a short, prayer-filled bonus episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, created for anyone walking through winter storms, unexpected weather, or anxiety stirred up by circumstances outside of your control.
In this episode, we pause together—to pray, to breathe, and to remember that God is sovereign, present, and deeply aware of every need we carry. Whether you’re facing snow, ice, power outages, canceled plans, or simply the emotional weight that comes with uncertainty, this episode is an invitation to rest in the truth that you are held.
We pray for peace over anxious hearts, protection over homes, warmth for bodies and spirits, and the ability to turn unexpected stillness into worship. This episode is a reminder that even moments of disruption can become moments of Sabbath, reflection, and closeness with the Lord.
If your church service has been canceled due to weather, I’ve also shared a worship option so you can still gather your heart before God from home.
This episode is for you if:
You’re feeling anxious or unsettled due to weather or circumstances
You need a moment of calm and prayer
You’re longing for peace in your home and heart
You want to turn stillness into worship

Hey, lovely 💛
Welcome back to the Lovely Home Podcast—where we trade grace over guilt and learn how to create rhythms that actually work for your real life, your real brain, and your real home.
In today’s episode, we’re diving into kitchen rhythms and routines—but not in a “perfect countertops” kind of way. We’re talking about building a lovely, lived-in, guilt-free kitchen that serves you and your family with more peace, better flow, and less stress.
You’ll start with a simple but powerful 5-senses reset to help you look at your kitchen with “lovely eyes” (even if there are dishes in the sink). Then we walk through four practical questions that will help you understand your kitchen better—and finally create changes that stick:
What’s the chaos? (What’s frustrating, stressful, or constantly piling up?)
What’s the calm? (What’s already working well—habits, systems, or set-ups that bring peace?)
What goes? (What are 3 things you can literally remove to free up space and mental load?)
What flows? (What physical items make your kitchen function better?)
I also share my real-life “kitchen pain points” and the exact solutions I’m using—like my pausing station, writing sweet notes with dry erase markers on the fridge, my drink drawer, and the absolute game-changer: Slow Cooker Sunrise (a genius habit that helped me wake up earlier, meal prep effortlessly, and feel more present in my mornings).
We’ll also touch on the brain science behind clutter—how a messy environment can increase stress and make it harder for your prefrontal cortex to function well, while your amygdala flares and your hippocampus struggles (hello, brain fog). And we’ll ground it all in Scripture as we talk about building your home with wisdom and living in a way that honors God.
If you’ve ever thought:“Why is my kitchen always messy?” or “Why can’t I be good enough at keeping it clean?”this episode is your gentle-but-practical reset to stop attacking your temple and start building a kitchen rhythm with confidence—because you’re the boss of your kitchen.
And yes… we also end with a spicy Would You Rather Bible question that will absolutely make you pause and think.

Hey lovely — in today’s episode of the Lovely Home Podcast, we’re slowing it all the way down.
If you’ve been craving a peaceful home, a calmer mind, and grace-filled habits (without the constant pressure to “do more”), this conversation is for you. We’re talking about what slow living actually means—because it’s not laziness, not checking out, and not pretending life isn’t busy. It’s choosing to move at a pace of meaning instead of a pace of pressure, so you can be more present, purposeful, and at peace in your everyday homemaking.
You’ll walk away with five practical slow living tips you can apply immediately—whether you’re working on your thought life, building healthy rhythms instead of rigid routines, or learning how to love your home again right where you are.
| In This Episode, You’ll Learn |
How to notice the lovely (and use your five senses to reset your brain and refocus your heart)
Why rhythms over routines creates more consistency and less guilt (goodbye “domino train” burnout)
How to pursue quality over quantity in your habits, your home, and your life
What to do when your brain tries to make you feel guilty for resting
Simple ways to choose hobbies and practices that naturally help you live slower (food, reading, homemaking, Bible study, and more)
We also end with a fun Would You Rather question: would you rather have your home professionally organized or professionally decorated—unlimited budget?

Hey lovely
— welcome to this very fun bonus episode of The Lovely Home Podcast! I’m your host, Evelyn, and I’m here to help you refocus on grace over guilt in your mind, life, and home as a Christian homemaker.
Today’s episode is basically a cozy, planner-girly chat where I’m sharing my favorite things about the Lovely Home Planner and why I’m genuinely obsessed with it (yes, I created it… but I’m still calling these unbiased reasons 😄). If you’ve ever wanted a planner that feels like an “everything book”—one place for your routines, meal planning, shopping list, brain dumps, and notes—this episode will help you see exactly why the Lovely Home Planner was designed the way it was.
We also talk about something important: if you’re a dated planner girl, I’ve got you! I share two beautiful, Christ-centered dated planner options from other small businesses that I personally love and use—especially for business planning.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
The real story behind how the Lovely Home Planner was born (hint: 2022 + newlywed life + wanting how to build rhythms without being told what to do)
Why the journaling prompts are the “secret sauce” (and why I was determined to write them myself)
My hilarious, nerve-wracking TJ Maxx moment that helped me choose the planner size (and why there’s a thank-you to a stranger in the back of the planner!)
My favorite weekly layout details:
an Extra Notes page every single week
two weekly journaling prompts (home + mindset/habits)
a Lovely To-Do’s page for your brain dump + prioritizing what actually matters
the half-page Meal Plan + Shopping List that you can rip out and take to the store (and stick on the fridge!)
Why the planner is undated on purpose (so you can pick it up without guilt, no matter your season)
The hidden goodies: QR code “easter eggs,” a course at the beginning, and a little surprise at the end
My two favorite dated planner recommendations:
Selah Publications (stunning, Christ-centered, lays flat, ribbon bookmarks, gold foil edges)
Horacio Printing (exquisitely durable, a full unboxing experience, course + stickers, layout options)
And yes… we talk pricing and the new year sale:
The Lovely Home Planner is now $30
